  • Expert NEFF Home Economist, Jo Barwick, rustled up some festive culinary delights throughout the day.
  • Local artists in residence for the day: Mary Colbeck, Sayani Drury, Janina Maher, & Elaine Northcote.

There was a great atmosphere. The incorporation of local artists into the event was really unique!

Mary Elizabeth Colebrook_ed

Mary Colbeck

Mary is largely self-taught. She loves painting flowers - poppies, irises and lilies are her favourites, enjoys trying new styles, and has recently discovered ink sketching.

She is passionate about encouraging people to have a go, and has recently started a small group who meet regularly for urban sketching.

Creative Locale artists

Janina Maher

Janina loves drawing, painting, printing and making things. She recently rediscovered the enjoyment of drawing and painting buildings, and has steadily been working her way around Caversham, Reading, and Henley high streets.

Elaine northcote2

Elaine Northcote

Elaine Northcote is an emerging artist in the fine arts scene with a background in performing arts, and has been involved with projects in independent film and music. She works primarily with oil on canvas adding multiple layers of paint creating work that is expressionistic realism with rich vibrant colours, she also enjoys working with charcoal and graphite.

Sayani Sur

Sayani Drury

Sayani is an accomplished artist, best known for her floral portraits which seek to portray the essence and character of the flowers she paints in a vintage manner, reminiscent of the Dutch masters.

She tracks her days through her sketchbooks, where she also plans her finished paintings in thumbnails.
