Jacksons Corner
Iconic department store, Jackons Corner, located in the heart of Reading, will be converted into a mixed use retail and residential site comprising of restaurants and 33 apartments.
Originally opened in 1875, Jacksons Corner was the flagship store for family-owned department store chain, Jacksons. The store was famous for using a revolutionary system of pneumatic pipes to transport cash around the building. The Reading branch closed its doors for the last time in 2013 and was acquired by Ankor Property Group. The building will be converted into retail and residential units, with its historic facade remaining as a heritage landmark in central Reading.
Elements were contracted to design, supply and install the kitchens for Ankor’s partners, property builders Peak London.
