What colour palette are you thinking of selecting for your new kitchen project?
The inspiration is endless, with so many new colours and textures now available to style your kitchen in the perfect way to complement your home.
Our kitchen designer Rasa takes you through one of this year’s key trends: Green Kitchens
Have you noticed the popularity of green kitchens on Instagram and Pinterest, interior design magazines and showrooms displays?
Green is a fresh and charming shade that is easy to get right with careful consideration, but can easily look out of place if the key element is not there.
So, what is the best way to style a green kitchen?
Maximise the light in the room by keeping windows undressed
Create a warm atmosphere by choosing warm metallic fittings such as brass, gold and copper handles and shelf supports, sink and tap and other accessories such as pendant lights or wall dressings
Introduce wood tones into your scheme to create warm and welcoming appeal to the room. You could include a wood breakfast bar, oak plate rack or open shelving and glazed cabinets
Choose pale colour splashbacks and light worktops to contrast the green. Remember dark tones will not reflect the light!
Selecting a green statement wall or a single focal point in your kitchen can be a very effective way to include a pop of vibrant colour
Will green be your choice this time?
